Ellen Goldstein
I’ve been a copyeditor for the Proceedings of the National Academy of the Sciences, American Meteorological Society, American Mathematical Society, and science curriculum.
But it hasn’t all been STEM. In between I worked on books about cooking, crafts, fonts, organization, growing your own orchard, journaling, and how to get your dog to do cool tricks.
Some of my favorite projects have been creative and academic writing, whether it’s dissertations about Black women in education, poetry chapbooks, essays about chronic pain and motherhood, or academic manuscripts about peace movements or big data.
In addition, I have taught and/or tutored writing, research, and critical thinking at Endicott College, Bennington College, and Rhode Island College.
I have an MFA in poetry and am the author of Stuff Every Beer Snob Should Know (Quirk Books, 2018). My poetry and nonfiction have been widely published in literary journals and anthologies.
My favorite things in the world include dogs, the night sky, and helping people get words on the page.
